Superset is now Paradev. Also, we raised an $11.5M seed
Led by Union Square Ventures. Our story, why we picked the name, and what's next.
Our origin
All three founders were previously CTOs at YC companies. We saw that coding was changing rapidly with agents, so we built the first version of Paradev at a hackathon. Immediately after launching in January, many of our friends switched from their favorite IDEs and used Paradev 8-12 hours a day.
In less than a year, hundreds of thousands of developers in 180 countries and one in eight Fortune 500 companies have used Paradev.
Why Paradev
Our old name was shared by many existing products and companies, so we had been looking for a name we can build an enduring company on.
Lawyers have paralegals, doctors have paramedics, and developers have paradevs. A parallel dev (or paradev) has hundreds of agents working in parallel, solving issues for her as soon as they come up. Sound familiar?
Our seed funding
Our mission is to build the future of coding with agents: a world where software can improve itself. To accelerate that mission, we raised $11.5M, led by Union Square Ventures, alongside the best investors and founders in the world.

Do I need to do anything?
No. Your account, workspaces, settings, billing and contracts carry over, you stay signed in, and the desktop app updates to the new name on its own.
Will my links break?
No. Every superset.sh link redirects to the same page on paradev.com. The GitHub repo moves to github.com/paradevai/paradev, and old GitHub links redirect too.
Does the CLI change?
No. The superset command keeps working, and paradev now works as an alias for it. Homebrew installs keep working too.
Where do emails come from now?
From superset.sh or paradev.com, as we move everything to paradev.com. We own both, so emails from either one are from us.
Where do I find Paradev on social media?
